Character Classes

Your class defines your character’s core skills, combat style, and progression path. While races define who you are, classes define what you do. All characters must choose a class at creation.

⚔️ Standard Classes

These are available to all players without restriction.

  • Fighter – Masters of weapons and endurance. Fighters are durable front-line warriors with high health and combat utility.
  • Rogue – Agile skirmishers who specialize in stealth, poisons, traps, and precision strikes.
  • BattleMage – Spell-slinging warriors who blend martial ability with limited magic casting.
  • Mage – Full casters focused on elemental power, ritual magic, and spell mastery.

Each standard class comes with:

  • A unique XP cost table
  • Restrictions on armor and weapon use
  • Access to specific skills and spell slot progression

⚠️ Restricted Classes

These require Race Marshal approval and may only be taken after consistent play and narrative justification.

  • Knight – Heavily armored warriors sworn to chivalric codes. Must be approved and follow strict in-play obligations.
  • Ranger – Nature-bound trackers and guerrilla fighters with access to unique skill trees and survival perks.

🎓 Choosing a Class

Your class affects:

  • XP cost for skills and abilities
  • Access to armor and weapon types
  • Spellcasting potential
  • Eligibility for in-game roles or organizations

Most classes cannot be changed after your first event without staff approval. Choose wisely!

📘 Class Guidelines

  • You may only have one class at a time
  • Some races are prohibited from taking certain classes (e.g., Pixies may not be Mages)
  • Your class must be recorded and approved at character check-in
  • If your class includes spellcasting, review the Magic & Spellcasting section
