AI Attribution & Use Policy
Volaire LARP uses generative AI to support backend coding, world building, economy management, and administrative tasks that enhance immersion for our players. We also use AI for concept and placeholder image generation. These tools help us prototype faster, keep lore consistent, and maintain a living world that's responsive to play.
We do not support the idea of AI replacing human artists. AI artwork on this site is a springboard for imagination—not a substitute for the craft and labor of real people. We encourage players to commission live artists to bring their characters, scenes, and relics to life, and to expand our ever-growing universe with human creativity at the forefront.
How We Use AI
- Backend & Tools: scripting helpers, data transforms, content linting, and rule/economy calculators.
- World Building: location briefs, NPC seed text, encounter scaffolds, and continuity checks.
- Economy Management: price bands, scaling rules, material lists, and market updates for tickets and forums.
- Admin & Ops: document cleanup, draft responses, and consistency audits across wiki/tickets.
- Images: mood pieces, iconography, UI accents, and commission prompts for human artists.
Sources of Truth
All generative AI used by Volaire LARP is grounded in two authoritative sources maintained by our staff:
- The Staff Wiki (this site) — the canonical record for lore, rules, NPCs, factions, history, and world detail.
- The Volaire Oracle database — the live operational record for characters, XP, tickets, knowledge base articles, and continuity references.
When AI is used to generate text, answer questions, or assist with world and ops work, these sources are the basis for that output. AI does not invent facts about Volaire—it draws from what staff have documented here and in the Oracle.
Note: Safety, ownership, and privacy rules apply. Sensitive player data is never fed into external models.

Below are the systems currently in use. Version/build entries are recorded so readers know what powered the work at the time of publication.

Volaire Oracle (In-House System)
The Volaire Oracle is our in-house system built and maintained by Volaire LARP staff. It consists of two integrated tools:
Oracle Web Portal is a custom staff application (oracle.volairelarp.org) that centralizes:
- Character and XP management,
- Ticket and support systems,
- A searchable knowledge base covering spells, rules, and lore,
- NPC records, economy tracking, and continuity references.
Oracle Minion is a Discord bot that connects the Volaire LARP Discord server directly to the Oracle, allowing staff and players to query character data, rules, and knowledge base articles without leaving Discord.
- Scope: assists Plot and Ops with lore checks, economy references, character lookups, and content drafting.
- Access: the web portal is restricted to staff; Oracle Minion surfaces approved information to the Discord community.
- Goal: keep Volaire coherent, consistent, and fast to iterate—while leaving final judgment and authorship with humans.

If an AI-assisted piece inspires you, commission a human artist and show us the result—we'll celebrate and credit it. Artists who wish to be listed as Volaire-friendly creators can contact support@volairelarp.org with samples and preferred rates.
